Why Milan?

Milan opened in 2025 in MIL1 on Via Caldera, the street Italy's hosting industry calls its own, in a Tier III+ building with MIX on the tenant list. We joined with Arelion and Cogent and discovered that Italy had been the large European economy most resigned to renting its servers abroad; the first rack sold before the monitoring dashboard was wired up.

The site runs 0.36 Tbit/s of edge capacity at a 3 ms local median, 6 ms from Zurich and 8 from Vienna, with 91 ms to Dubai as the reminder of why it exists. Milan is the southern anchor of our European fabric and the south's shortest hop towards the Middle East.

Milan or Zurich for Italy?
If your users or your contracts are Italian, Milan: a server 6 ms from Zurich is a short hop, but Italian law is a different jurisdiction, and this site sits under it. Zurich keeps its own argument for data that needs Swiss rules. For everyone else the two sites are 6 ms apart and identically priced, so the tiebreaker is which country's regulators you would rather explain yourself to.
What is the latency from Milan to the Middle East?
91 ms to Dubai — the number that justified the site, since southern Europe's Gulf traffic no longer has to climb to Frankfurt or London first. Milan is 11 ms from Frankfurt for the rest of your traffic, which brackets the site's whole job: close to Europe's core, closer than anything else we run to the routes south-east.

Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.

Orders from Italy are handled exactly like every other order: checkout in euros, payment in Bitcoin, Monero or any of twenty-four assets, and the server provisions on the first network confirmation. No card, no bank, no name that has to match one.
